Choosing Unicode Codec. This feature is for expert users who are renaming files/folders which use
character sets not supported by the default character codec. You can configure which codec to use for
decoding files used in the 'Import Rename List' feature. For import codecs:
-
You can choose a default codec which would result in PFrank using the codec corresponding to your current
code page.
-
You can also choose an auto-detector which will try to determine which codec to use based on the file
content. IF the auto-detection fails, then the decoding will be attempted with the default codec.
-
You can choose a codec from an extensive list.
You can also separately configure which codec to use for encoding
the summary file, exported csv, or exported batch renaming/undo files. For export codecs:
-
You can choose a default codec which would result in PFrank using the codec corresponding to your current
code page.
